Martin continues to lead the field of surgical lights with their marLED range of surgical lights.
The marLED lights are based on 2nd generation LED technology which makes them more compact, lighter than and more efficient than others currently on the market. The new LED technology allows the light to be mixed at the source and not in the light field, thus eliminating colour shadows that exist in older designs.

LED technology allows unparalleled control of the light source and light field as well as control over light temperature to highlight tissues under different conditions.

The use of the latest LED “light engines” allows Martin to use the same power source and arm systems as per the rest of the Martin range and therefore it is now possible to upgrade existing halogen light installations to the latest technology.

KEY FEATURES

  • The Martin marLED V16 utilise 16 light engines and the V10 has 10 light engines, each made up of 4 LED clusters. A combination of these is activated to produce different field shapes (round or oval) as well as create larger and smaller field.
  • Within each LED cluster a combination of 4 LEDs is used to create a range of colour temperatures from 3,800 to 4,800 degrees Kelvin.
  • Dimming is typically down to 30% but can be programmed to go down to 3%. A Backlight function is built in and the lights can also switch off completely via the central handle.
  • LED light sources have a life of between 30 000 and 50 000 hours.

LIGHT CONTROL

A control panel allows full control of all functions. This panel is attached to each individual light head and a master control panel is also located on the wall.

In addition both focus and brightness are electronically control at the sterilisable handle via Martin’s sensoGrip system. Both sterilisable and disposable handle options are available and these are the same as for the rest of the Martin range.

POSITIONING

The shape of the light heads allows them to close together to create a large combined light.

Each joint has a 360o rotation. The Martin marLED  lights utilise a combination of cardanic suspension and friction screws to maintain stable and accurate positioning.

For very low ceilings a special low height model is available to make best use of minimal head height whislt retaining a good level of movement and adjustability of the light heads.
